International Math Day

On International Math Day (March 14), Eva May Russell organized a Math Marathon for the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. The event was packed with games, challenges, and competitions designed to inspire a love for math—not just as a requirement, but as something to enjoy. 

In the Dominican Republic, math is often seen as a challenge or a burden – it is seen as unachievable. Our goal is to shift this perspective, helping students see beyond assignments and exams to appreciate the beauty and value of mathematics – that math isn’t just possible, but it can actually be enjoyable!
