Casa Monte Plata

Residential Program

Casa Monte Plata was established in 2004 and has since grown to include four homes, a director’s residence, a multi-use building, and an independence home. With a capacity for 32 children and youth, the site provides a safe and nurturing environment for those arriving in protective custody, many of whom must relearn to trust adults.

Monte Plata province faces extreme poverty, making access to higher education and professional training a significant challenge for youth. Neglect and family violence are widespread, while essential social and medical services remain limited for those most in need.
